Information collected through the contact form

When you fill out the contact form on this site, the details you enter are sent through Netlify Forms, the hosting provider this site runs on. Alongside your name, email address, and message, the form has optional fields for your company, industry, country, team size, and timeline. They are optional, and anything you leave blank is simply not sent. That submission is stored in Netlify's dashboard and forwarded by email so it can be read and responded to. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for anything beyond replying to your message.

A hidden anti-spam field ("honeypot") is included in the form to filter out automated bot submissions. It does not collect any additional information about you.

The program builder and the five-question quiz

This site has a tool that lets you select services and training topics, and a short five-question quiz that suggests a starting point. Neither one sends anything to a server on its own.

Your selections and quiz answers are kept in your own browser's session storage so that scrolling away, or reloading the page, does not wipe what you picked. Three other things sit alongside them: the height you drag the selection panel to, whether you have already been shown the hint about that panel, and anything you have typed into the search box on this page. None of it is a cookie, none of it is shared with anyone, and all of it is erased automatically when you close the tab. The search history can also be cleared at any time from the Clear link in the search box itself. Two entries in local storage outlive the tab: whether you chose the light or dark version of the site, and whether the keyboard shortcut hint has already been shown to you once. Nothing else is stored.

If you then choose to send your program to Mohammad, the tool writes a summary of your selections into the message box of the contact form. You can see it, edit it, or delete it before sending. Nothing about your selections reaches him unless you submit that form yourself.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand general traffic patterns, such as how many people visit, which pages are read, and roughly where visitors are located by country or city. This is aggregate, statistical information. It is not used to identify you personally, and this site does not use it to build advertising profiles or sell data to third parties.

Beyond page visits, this site records a small number of anonymous interaction events in Google Analytics, such as starting or finishing the quiz, which service or training topic was selected, when the program builder's summary was sent to the contact form, and which keyboard shortcuts were used. These are counts of actions and the names of items from the site's own published list. Free text that you type yourself, including a custom training topic or anything written in the contact form, is never sent to Google Analytics.

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to distinguish visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using Google's official browser opt-out tool, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.

Embedded content from other sites

A few things on this page are pulled in from other services rather than hosted directly:

• YouTube videos are embedded in the Training section. If you play one, YouTube (Google) may set its own cookies and collect viewing data according to Google's Privacy Policy. This site has no control over that data once you interact with an embedded video.
• Recent blog posts shown near the bottom of this site are pulled live from mindsoupblog.com (hosted on Google's Blogger platform), Mohammad's separate blog. No personal data is exchanged in that process, it's a one-way feed of publicly published post titles and summaries.
• Approximate location for the world map. When you scroll to the map section, this site makes a request to a third-party IP-lookup service (ipapi.co) to check which country you're likely visiting from, so it can highlight that country if Mohammad has worked there. Only a general, city-or-country-level estimate is used, never a precise location, and nothing about this lookup is stored or linked back to you afterward.

What this site does not do

• It does not load fonts from Google Fonts or any other third-party font service. The typefaces used here (Barlow Condensed and Inter, both open source under the SIL Open Font License) are served directly from this site, so no request for them ever reaches an outside server.
• It does not sell or rent visitor data to anyone.
• It does not run third-party advertising or ad-tracking networks.
• It does not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices

You can browse this site without submitting the contact form, in which case no personal information is knowingly collected beyond standard analytics. If you'd like a copy of any data associated with a message you've sent, or would like it deleted, email hello@mohammadhijazi.com and it will be handled directly.

Changes to this policy

If what this site collects or how it's used changes meaningfully, this page will be updated and the date at the top will reflect that.
